With consumer demand for eco-friendly products and services on the rise, businesses must now more than ever grasp the effects and advantages of sustainable operations. This double degree program covers essential sustainability topics like energy, water, and waste management, while fostering an understanding of how environmental sustainability and business achievements are interconnected. You will explore the responsible stewardship of natural resources and graduate equipped with the expertise to devise sustainable approaches for commercial and industrial sectors. The business curriculum provides a range of majors and courses highlighting how fundamental business and management areas—including communication, planning, teamwork, strategy, human resources, and personal growth—interconnect and relate to sustainability. You will build analytical, communication, and decision-making abilities crucial for business careers, and finish your studies knowing how to apply these skills in environmental settings. The culminating year features a 'capstone' experience, allowing you to choose between a research project or an industry internship to gain practical, job-ready experience. Based on your chosen majors, career paths may open in research, government, non-governmental organizations, engineering and environmental consulting, data collection and analysis, administration, advertising, business and strategic management, planning and policy, and sales and marketing. You will be prepared for roles such as environmental consultant, management facilitator, project officer, or information management officer.
