The program equips you with skills to investigate, evaluate, and communicate principles for ethical, inclusive social work practice. You'll learn to recognize how cultural contexts influence different methodologies and their applicability to particular scenarios and communities, while understanding the relationships between direct practice, policy development, and research. Curriculum includes subjects like working with diverse groups, challenges in child and family services, mental health across lifespan development, and concepts of trauma and recovery. The Graduate Entry Master of Social Work is a 2-year full-time program (or part-time equivalent), delivered by the College of Education, Psychology and Social Work.

Qualification Requirements
Graduate Entry
Applicants must normally hold a bachelor degree with a competitive GPA. International applicants will be required to complete two intensive foundation topics. These topics run for one week only prior to the start of first and second semesters. The study of the foundation topics will not incur a tuition fee.
Qualified Social Worker Entry
Applicants must normally hold a Bachelor of Social Work recognised by the Australian Association of Social Work (AASW) or equivalent. Applicants must have completed either an AASW-accredited Bachelor of Social Work Honours, or an AASW-accredited Bachelor of Social Work plus at least two years professional work experience (paid or volunteer) or equivalent.
