This program equips students with the scientific knowledge required for effective water management. Our specialized postgraduate course in water resources management accommodates learners from diverse academic backgrounds, offering adaptable content and flexible delivery methods. Participants can pursue either an in-depth specialization or gain comprehensive knowledge across various water management disciplines.
Learners can tailor their studies to develop expertise in areas ranging from integrated water systems, hydrological processes, water quality and public health, to leadership and administrative competencies within the water sector.
We prepare you to address contemporary challenges while developing proactive solutions for future water management issues. The curriculum emphasizes understanding the social, political, economic, and environmental dimensions of water resources, along with enhancing both verbal and written communication skills. Leveraging Flinders University's position as host to the National Centre for Groundwater Research and Training - the premier groundwater research institution in the southern hemisphere - our program draws upon world-class expertise. Our water resources research team ranks among the global elite, currently holding the 13th position in the prestigious Shanghai Ranking.
Applicants who do not hold the Graduate Diploma in Science (Water Resources Management) must normally hold an approved degree or equivalent qualification in a relevant discipline of science and engineering, from an approved tertiary institution.
