The Master of Science - Research is an advanced research program where students complete a supervised, time-bound research project. This degree allows students to contribute meaningfully to their chosen field of study. Tailored for those with backgrounds in computer science, software engineering, information technology, information systems, or related computing disciplines, the program enhances existing technical and research capabilities. Graduates gain not just theoretical and practical computer science knowledge, but also develop professional ethics and an appreciation for the social, economic, cultural, and global implications of computing. The curriculum focuses on current industry and societal challenges, equipping graduates for either doctoral studies or careers in computing-related professions.
Applicants must:
Have a Bachelors degree with Honours from an Australian university (which must include studies relevant to the proposed degree and field of research), or the equivalent qualification as approved by the relevant authorised delegate
Satisfy the University that they are reasonably likely to be able to successfully complete the requirements of the award within the maximum duration
