A Master's Degree by Research is an advanced research program where students complete a supervised, time-bound research project. This program allows students to contribute meaningfully to their chosen field of study. Those who earn a Master's by Research will gain comprehensive expertise in one or more specialized areas, developing both theoretical knowledge and practical skills. Graduates acquire specialized analytical and technical abilities that enable them to conduct independent original research, demonstrate research proficiency, apply appropriate methodologies, critically evaluate sources and findings, understand their work's broader academic context, and produce high-quality scholarly writing.
Applicants must:
Have a Bachelors degree with Honours from an Australian university (which must include studies relevant to the proposed degree and field of research), or the equivalent qualification as approved by the relevant authorised delegate
Satisfy the University that they are reasonably likely to be able to successfully complete the requirements of the award within the maximum duration

IELTS (Academic): 6.0 Overall with 6.0 Speaking, 6.0 Writing; TOEFL iBT: 72 Total score with 18 Speaking, 21 Writing; Pearson PTE Academic: 50 Overall with 50 Speaking, 50 Writing; Cambridge C1 Advanced: 169 Overall with 169 Speaking, 169 Writing; Occupational English Test (OET): 300 Speaking, 300 Writing, 300 Reading, 300 Listening; Duolingo (Up to and including Semester 2, 2024): Overall 95-100
