The Master of International Relations offers an in-depth grounding in essential competencies for professionals in foreign affairs, international commerce, defense, and national/global security sectors. This program blends theoretical frameworks with hands-on analysis to explore critical worldwide challenges including conflict, economic disparity, safety concerns, financial systems, commerce and diplomatic relations. You'll complete your studies equipped with Australia's most progressive international relations postgraduate qualification, featuring an interdisciplinary approach that incorporates public policy, governance and global affairs expertise - empowering you to drive meaningful impact. The program offers flexible specialization options, allowing you to customize your studies through electives in public policy or administration, or by selecting two optional units from any faculty within the university.
Applicants for the masters who do not hold the Graduate Certificate or Graduate Diploma in International Relations (or approved equivalents) must normally hold an approved degree or equivalent qualification from an approved tertiary institution.
