Environmental health examines how our surroundings influence our well-being, encompassing physical, biological, chemical, and social factors outside ourselves that shape our health. This public health discipline focuses on elements of both natural and human-made environments - including water, food, air, structures, and waste - that impact human health.

Our postgraduate environmental health programs equip students with professional credentials to pursue or advance careers in this field. This specialized curriculum delivers in-depth understanding of environmental health principles and their practical implementation, particularly in risk evaluation. Designed for domestic and international learners, both programs teach universally applicable concepts while offering opportunities to conduct environmental health assessments and applied research either at Flinders University or within students' current workplaces.
