The Graduate Diploma in Public Policy and Administration offers fundamental training in core theoretical, conceptual, and thematic aspects of Public Policy and Administration. The curriculum blends mandatory and optional subjects along with independent research. Coursework explores domains like public policy, governance, economics, and includes a professional research component. Students may choose electives from public administration or international relations, with two options available from any university department. Flinders University additionally provides a Master of Public Administration program, designed to give managers and administrators the expertise needed to efficiently oversee government, nonprofit, and international organizations. The institution also offers a Master of International Relations, tailored for professionals in foreign affairs, defense, or global trade to enhance their capabilities in security, economics, trade, and diplomacy.
Applicants must normally hold a bachelor degree or equivalent qualification from an approved tertiary institution.
Students who have completed a Graduate Certificate in Public Policy, a Graduate Certificate in Public Administration, a Graduate Certificate in International Relations, or an approved equivalent, but not an undergraduate degree, must also meet a GPA requirement.
