Our doctoral candidates investigate societal challenges and structures impacting youth, households, and neighborhoods while collaborating with professionals to promote ethical policy and operational transformations. Those who complete our PhD program obtain roles across diverse environments, operating within legal and procedural guidelines to assist people, family units, and community collectives. The doctoral program aims to deliver elite research preparation and recognize the creation of meaningful original studies that substantially advance academic understanding. PhD recipients will possess advanced, specialized intellectual, methodological, and investigative capabilities within their field, allowing them to autonomously and methodically exhibit proof of novel inquiry or idea validation, proficiency in self-directed study or experimentation, comprehensive mastery of appropriate domain techniques shown through both practical application and literature analysis, judicious utilization of references, experimental findings (when applicable), and existing publications, awareness of their specialized topic's connection to broader knowledge domains, the ability to produce polished written work, increased intellectual autonomy, and a noteworthy innovative addition to their discipline's body of knowledge.
To be accepted for enrolment in a Doctor of Philosophy candidature, an applicant must:
