Our four-year Laboratory Medicine program offers an engaging specialization within the Bachelor of Medical Science, encompassing key disciplines including haematology, transfusion science, microbiology, genetics, immunology, virology, biochemistry, and molecular biology. In their final year, students complete two intensive 13-week placements, totaling around 900 hours of hands-on laboratory experience in diagnostic pathology settings. This immersive training enables graduates to pursue careers across various medical science fields in diagnostic pathology. As a laboratory medicine specialist, you'll analyze patient specimens and conduct critical lab tests that inform clinical decision-making.
