The Bachelor of Medical Science (Accelerated) allows high-achieving students to finish their undergraduate medical science education faster than the standard three-year duration. This intensive program helps learners gain an early advantage for advanced studies or professional pursuits. The curriculum equips graduates with essential knowledge and competencies for entering healthcare and medical science professions, pursuing research degrees, or continuing with other health-related qualifications. Throughout the program, students gain increasing flexibility to focus on specific medical science disciplines. This forward-thinking degree provides dynamic career pathways in medical science and research fields, featuring specialized training for aspiring professionals in microbiology, molecular medicine, physiology, anatomy, neuroscience, pharmacology, and toxicology. It also serves as an excellent foundation for postgraduate studies in allied health disciplines. The accelerated format enables completion in just 2.5 years through five semester-based subjects per term plus four intensive modules.
Flinders University recognises international secondary schooling for direct entry to undergraduate programs. Prerequisites: SACE stage two chemistry or equivalent.
