The Bachelor of Arts (Honours) is a specialized fourth-year program designed to prepare students for postgraduate research degrees or professional careers requiring advanced research skills.
With 50% of the curriculum focused on independent thesis research conducted at a professional level, the program equips graduates for either academic research or professional practice within their chosen discipline. It offers comprehensive training in research methodologies, analytical techniques, and theoretical frameworks.
Within this Humanities-focused track, students can specialize in Media and Screen Studies, Literature, Creative Writing, Philosophy, History, or Indigenous Studies. The capstone project may take the form of a conventional academic thesis or, for Creative Writing majors, a practice-based submission combining original creative work with critical analysis.
