This International Dual Degree offers students the chance to acquire two prestigious qualifications while gaining global experience. Successful candidates will earn both a Bachelor of Science (International Exercise and Sports Science) from ECU and a BSc (Hons) Sport, Health, and Exercise Sciences degree from the University of Portsmouth in the UK.
The program structure includes three years at ECU (years 1, 2 and 4) and one year at Portsmouth (year 3). For those passionate about health, fitness and wellness, and who enjoy helping others enhance their lifestyle or athletic performance through exercise, this Exercise Science pathway presents an excellent opportunity. The dual qualification opens doors to diverse career paths - from working with professional athletes to promoting community health, corporate wellness roles, and various other dynamic settings. The curriculum equips students with expertise to create, execute and assess exercise regimens aimed at boosting overall health, preventing chronic conditions, and optimizing sports performance.
Students can further specialize through majors in Football Performance, Health Promotion, Nutrition, Occupational Safety and Health, or Sport Business to expand their career options. Additionally, this program serves as a foundation for advanced studies in fields like clinical exercise physiology, education, dietetics, and strength and conditioning coaching.

Qualification Requirements

All applicants must meet the academic admission requirements for this course. The indicative or guaranteed ATAR is as published (where applicable) or academic admission requirements may be satisfied through completion of one of the following:
AQF Cert IV,
Successfully completed 0.25 EFTSL of study at bachelor level or higher at an Australian higher education provider (or equivalent),
Undergraduate Certificate,
Special Tertiary Admissions Test,
University Preparation Course,
Indigenous University Orientation Course,
Aboriginal University Readiness Assessment, or
Experience Based Entry Scheme.

International Baccalaureate Diploma - Minimum of 24 points (Minimum of 28 points for Law), consisting of aggregate from 3 higher level & 3 subsidiary level

IELTS Academic - Overall band minimum score of 6.0 (no individual band less than 6.0).
TOEFL iBT or TOEFL iBT Special Home Edition - Minimum score of 70, with no individual score less than 17.
TOEFL paper-based test (PBT) - Minimum score of 550, including Test of Written English of 5 or better.
