This program offers comprehensive civil engineering studies while emphasizing environmental management challenges faced by professionals in the field. Numerous engineering initiatives, particularly those affecting land, water, and air quality, demand thorough environmental assessments to detect and minimize potential ecological harm. Evaluating both immediate and lasting sustainability impacts is crucial for these projects. The curriculum builds professional engineering competencies through a balanced approach of theoretical knowledge and hands-on applications, fostering problem-solving abilities, collaborative skills, and project leadership capabilities. Foundational studies cover physical sciences, engineering principles, CAD, materials science, surveying, and essential civil engineering subjects. Advanced coursework delves into specialized areas such as structural engineering, water systems, construction methodologies, and project oversight. The program further explores environmental risk evaluation, water treatment processes, pollution control systems, waste handling solutions, and sustainable design practices. The initial year features eight core units shared among all engineering honors programs, enabling students to explore different specializations and potentially change disciplines without academic consequences after their first year.
