A solid grasp of commercial law and legal risk management is highly sought after by employers across both private and public sectors. You'll explore fundamental legal concepts including the legal system, court procedures, legal documentation and research, civil wrongs, commercial regulations, and consumer rights laws. The program offers flexibility through three elective courses in specialized areas like real estate, labor law, finance, resources, global commerce, and patents. Although this major doesn't lead to legal practice certification, successful completion of first-year core units may provide eligibility for ECU's Law degree program.
