This program involves guided academic research where each participant works under the direct mentorship of a faculty member. Students must present and defend their research proposal during an oral examination approximately one-third into their studies, culminating in a thesis submission. The final thesis can take the form of either a traditional scholarly work or a portfolio combining analytical commentary with multiple practice-based research outputs.

Such advancement requires meeting PhD admission criteria and receiving full endorsement from the primary academic supervisor.
