Deakin's Master of Disability and Inclusion provides students with the essential academic foundation for careers in disability services, healthcare, and community sectors. This program maintains strong ties with disability organizations and the communities they support. Numerous students bring personal experience with disability, either directly or through close relationships. Our faculty members actively participate in the field, contributing to internationally recognized research. The program aligns with evolving disability frameworks, embracing principles from the UN Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities and initiatives like Australia's National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS).
The curriculum incorporates cutting-edge disability theories and practices, structured to explore fundamental concepts through modern frameworks, government policies, and real-world applications. Students critically examine these elements in relation to the actual experiences of individuals with disabilities. The program offers opportunities to develop expertise in areas such as strategic planning and community development initiatives.
To be considered for admission to this degree you will need to meet at least one of the following criteria:
completion of a bachelor degree or higher in a related discipline
completion of a bachelor degree or higher in any discipline and at least two years' of relevant work experience
English Language Requirements:

TOEFL IBT: 79 Writing 21
C1 ADVANCED and C2 PROFICIENCY: 176 No band less than 169
PTE: 58 No less than 50 in each skill
OET: Overall C+
