The Master of Cyber Security (Professional) program is designed to address this critical need, providing comprehensive training to handle security challenges from both technical and managerial standpoints. Select from three study pathways: collaborative team projects, industry placements, or research initiatives guided by our globally recognized faculty.
Cyber defense has become essential across all sectors, including government agencies, involving technological, legal, and ethical considerations. Throughout the program, you'll utilize cutting-edge technology to examine security issues through dual lenses: technical implementation and organizational strategy. The curriculum covers everything from system protection and digital investigation techniques to corporate security frameworks and compliance policies. Practical training ensures you develop the necessary competencies to effectively address cybercrime and digital terrorism.
Graduates will be prepared for diverse security positions across commercial, government, and law enforcement sectors. Potential career paths include risk assessment specialist, information security analyst, security software developer, cybersecurity advisor, security operations manager, compliance auditor, or security director. With professional experience, graduates may advance to executive positions like chief security officer.
To be considered for admission to this degree you will need to meet at least one of the following criteria:
completion of a bachelor degree or higher in a related discipline
completion of a bachelor degree or higher in any discipline and at least two years' relevant work experience (or part-time equivalent)
completion of a Graduate Certificate of Information Technology or equivalent
