This program offers graduates from any field a route to professional accounting certifications, allowing you to enhance your management skills or pursue advanced studies for CPA Australia membership or CA Program eligibility.
Delve into key management accounting subjects such as organizational decision-making and performance evaluation, alongside financial accounting and reporting. Beyond essential accounting principles, you'll explore foundational accounting theory and corporate social responsibility reporting. You'll also learn about the regulatory and conceptual structures that support corporate accounting practices and the reasoning behind current accounting standards.
Through Deakin Business School's Work Integrated Learning initiative, you can boost your career prospects with hands-on experience. The finance component enables workplace engagement, helping you cultivate practical and analytical finance skills by working on real-world projects. This experience will sharpen your ability to make crucial financial decisions while equipping you with valuable expertise for entrepreneurship or corporate leadership roles.
Additionally, this program can serve as a stepping stone to either the Master of Professional Accounting or Master of Commerce degrees.
To be considered for admission to this degree you will need to meet at least one of the following criteria:
completion of a major sequence or bachelor degree or higher in a related discipline
completion of a bachelor degree or higher in any discipline and at least two years' relevant work experience (or part-time equivalent)

TOEFL IBT: 79 Writing 21
C1 ADVANCED and C2 PROFICIENCY: 176 No band less than 169
PTE: 58 No less than 50 in each skill
