Nutrition-focused public health research encompasses: analyzing and assessing food sources; evaluating nutritional status; studying physical activity and behavioral patterns; sports nutrition science; physiological and metabolic processes; as well as investigating dietary connections to illnesses, with special focus on cancer, heart disease, obesity, diabetes, and bone disorders.
Deakin University presently supports approximately 1600 postgraduate research students - talented individuals utilizing our state-of-the-art resources, collaborative networks, specialized research centers, and distinguished academic standing.
To be considered for selection into a Higher Degrees by Research (HDR) degree, you are required to have completed either:
a research project in a related area including a thesis which is equivalent to at least 25% of a year's full-time study at Level 8 or 9 of the Australian Qualifications Framework with achievement of a grade for the project equivalent to a Deakin grade of 70% or equivalent
a masters degree (research) in a related area

IELTS: Overall 7 No band less than 6.5
TOEFL IBT: 94 Writing 24
C1 ADVANCED and C2 PROFICIENCY: 185 No band less than 176
PTE: 65 No less than 58 in each skill
OET: Overall B (equivalent to a IELTS 7~7.5 range)
