This program equips you to become a civil engineer by blending modern theory with hands-on industry projects, enabling you to acquire the expertise required to skillfully design, build, and sustain essential infrastructure systems that support modern living. You'll master applying scientific and engineering concepts to solve intricate challenges while creating forward-thinking solutions that serve both businesses and society. The curriculum covers various civil engineering specialties including structural, water resources, geotechnical, and transportation engineering, along with construction materials.

To be considered for an undergraduate course, you need to meet Deakin’s entry and course-specific requirements, as well as the English language minimum prerequisites.
Non-Year 12 applicants with:
higher education study
Vocational Education and Training (VET) study
work and life experience Or
completed Year 12 in 2021 or earlier.
Completion of one of the following:
2 credit points in an AQF Level 7 bachelor degree
certificate IV or higher in a related discipline
a diploma or higher in any discipline
at least 50% completion of a diploma or higher in a related discipline relevant work and life experience.

IELTS: Overall 6 No band less than 6
TOEFL IBT: 69 Writing 21
TOEFL PBT: 550 Writing 4.5
C1 ADVANCED and C2 PROFICIENCY: 169 No band less than 169
PTE: 50 No less than 50 in each skill
OET: Overall C
