This program is tailored for individuals who have completed a four-year Engineering bachelor's degree in a relevant field that lacks Engineers Australia accreditation.
The program isn't appropriate for those with an Engineers Australia-accredited four-year degree in the same field. Graduates holding EA-accredited qualifications who wish to pursue advanced studies in their discipline should explore the Master of Philosophy or Master of Engineering Management programs instead.
The curriculum focuses on civil engineering materials, design and analysis fundamentals, computational techniques, geotechnical concepts and foundations, water resource systems, and structural monitoring. Additionally, it encompasses risk assessment, construction economics, project leadership, and environmental engineering administration.
Our laboratory resources enable students to evaluate material properties and structural performance. Facilities support testing of construction materials including concrete, metals, soils, and geological samples, along with analyzing structural responses to both static forces and dynamic conditions in seismic and pavement geotechnical applications.
Applicants require a 4-year Engineering degree from a recognised institution in the same discipline of study. Students who have completed the Graduate Diploma of Professional Engineering degree at Curtin will be considered to have met the above course requirement.
