This program is tailored for individuals who have completed a four-year Engineering bachelor's degree in a relevant field that lacks Engineers Australia accreditation.
The program isn't intended for those with an Engineers Australia-accredited four-year degree in the same field. Graduates holding EA-accredited qualifications who wish to pursue advanced studies in their discipline should explore the Master of Philosophy or Master of Engineering Management programs instead.
This specialization offers comprehensive training in theory, laboratory work, design, and research. You'll explore cutting-edge automation and control technologies, along with big data management applications in resource, energy, and chemical processing sectors. A strong emphasis is placed on environmental sustainability.
Throughout the program, you'll complete a minimum of 12 weeks of professional engineering experience while maintaining an official logbook. Your final year will culminate in a significant research project that synthesizes and applies the knowledge and competencies developed during your studies.
Applicants require a 4-year Engineering degree from a recognised institution in the same discipline of study. Students who have completed the Graduate Diploma of Professional Engineering degree at Curtin will be considered to have met the above course requirement.
