The Master of Philosophy program is designed to extend your academic expertise beyond undergraduate honors or postgraduate diploma qualifications, with a research thesis as its final outcome. After earning this research-based master's degree, you become eligible to apply for admission to a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) program.

Research-focused advanced degrees stand apart from other postgraduate programs by requiring that research constitutes at least two-thirds of the curriculum. While some coursework may be necessary, the primary focus is on producing a thesis under the mentorship of a supervisor and associate supervisor(s).
