This honors program allows you to deepen your expertise in selected scientific fields: applied geology, chemistry, computer science, environmental and agricultural studies, geographic information science, mathematics, physics, or geophysics.
Building upon your undergraduate science education, this program offers advanced study in your chosen specialization – whether applied geology, chemistry, computer science, environmental and agricultural sciences, geographic information science, mathematics, physics, or geophysics. You'll explore research methodologies while developing critical analysis skills and creative thinking. The curriculum includes a guided research project culminating in an honors thesis.
Note: Geographic Information Science and Geophysics aren't available for Semester 2 enrollment. Graduates pursue diverse career paths in scientific research, government agencies, private industry, and academic institutions, depending on their specialization. Employers highly value this additional year of honors-level study, which also serves as a gateway to postgraduate research and advanced degrees in your field of interest.
