This dual degree program allows you to pursue a major from both the Faculty of Science and Engineering and the Faculty of Humanities. Upon completion, you'll earn both a Bachelor of Science and a Bachelor of Arts, while developing exceptional communication abilities to effectively share scientific advancements with others.
Throughout the program, you'll: Apply interdisciplinary knowledge to real-world scenarios through hands-on research and fieldwork in science and humanities. Develop creative problem-solving skills to address complex scientific, social, and political challenges. Gather, analyze, and integrate information from diverse sources. Master professional and scientific communication techniques. Utilize technology effectively. Cultivate self-directed learning habits through critical thinking and proactive approaches. Examine global and cultural perspectives in science and humanities, understanding their influence on communities worldwide. Uphold human rights, respect cultural diversity, and acknowledge Indigenous Australian rights. Demonstrate leadership, ethical conduct, and professional integrity in both team and individual settings.
The Chemistry specialization within this dual degree offers comprehensive chemical knowledge and practical skills for careers in modern analytical or industrial laboratories. Students will gain hands-on experience in cutting-edge teaching facilities within the Resources and Chemistry Precinct. An optional work-based learning component is available as an elective.
