Explore the study of perception, cognition, emotions, personality traits, behaviors, and social interactions, along with how psychologists analyze, interpret, and forecast individual and group actions.
Your initial year involves an interdisciplinary curriculum shared with students from various health science disciplines. The second year concentrates on foundational concepts in learning processes, motivational factors, sensory perception, childhood development, and social psychology.
During your third year, you'll gain deeper understanding in specialized areas including psychological disorders, adult development phases, community psychology, cognitive processes, cultural psychology perspectives, Indigenous psychological approaches, and personality variations. You'll also draft a research proposal.
The fourth year involves executing a substantial research project while honing expertise in program assessment techniques, psychological evaluations, and counseling methods. Please note: enrollment in the final year requires maintaining a credit average or above in your second- and third-year core psychology courses. Students not meeting this standard will receive the Bachelor of Science (Psychology) degree after their third year.
Exceptional students may qualify for the honors program, though admission is competitive with limited availability.
