The Engineering-Commerce dual degree is an expanded, elective program tailored for engineering students. It aims to enhance your business acumen, providing additional expertise to launch your engineering career after graduation. Your initial year will include the Engineering Foundation Year (EFY), created in collaboration with industry leaders to establish a strong grounding in core engineering principles and modern practices.
This combined degree equips you with practical commerce abilities and business insights, offering a competitive edge for varied career paths. You'll explore six foundational business units (accounting, economics, information systems, business law, management, and marketing) to understand diverse business domains before specializing.
You'll hone communication abilities and essential professional competencies valued by employers. Opportunities may include career counseling and international study. A distinctive feature is the final-year Business capstone unit, where you'll manage a simulated multimillion-dollar enterprise, applying your expertise to solidify learning while producing real-world outcomes.
Mechanical engineers evaluate and create motion-based technological systems, enabling society to utilize natural forces and energy. This globally recognized discipline offers adaptable skills for multiple career paths, encompassing system design, production, upkeep, and administration. These systems range from micro-mechanical components to power turbines, thermal plants, and transportation networks. The program emphasizes practical skill-building, teaching you to solve complex industry challenges through applied knowledge and innovative solutions.
Students from different countries should have qualifications equivalent to Australian Year 12 and a scaled mark of at least 50 in English, Literature, or English as an Additional Language or Dialect.
