Geographers are experts in social and environmental sciences who enhance our comprehension of global systems. They focus on the intersection between human societies and natural environments, examining interactions within urban, rural, regional, and isolated areas.
This program equips students with tools to tackle critical challenges like climate change, urban expansion, wildfires, food supply stability, and evolving populations.
Students will investigate shifting migration patterns, collective societal actions, and territorial disputes. The curriculum develops both theoretical analysis and hands-on research capabilities, including data collection methods, cartography, observational studies, statistical evaluation, field documentation, and population analysis reports. Spatial data interpretation and digital mapping techniques using ARCGIS and similar platforms are also covered.
Geography is available as a specialization within the Bachelor of Arts degree. Students can broaden their education by selecting a complementary major or opting for elective courses that align with professional aspirations.
