The Bachelor of Advanced Biomedical Science (Honours) is an intensive research-oriented program tailored for high-achieving students passionate about biomedical research. During your initial year, you'll engage in interdisciplinary coursework alongside peers from various fields, complemented by specialized units for this program. Starting in your second year, you'll focus on your selected major—either Discovery Bioscience or Clinical Medical Science—while enhancing your research capabilities in areas like experimental methodology, ethical considerations, statistical evaluation, scientific communication, data handling, and analytical reasoning. You'll complete project-based learning with robust industry and academic partnerships, gaining hands-on research experience. Additionally, you'll explore diverse research environments through a research roadshow, visiting settings like labs and clinical trial facilities.
Opting for Clinical Medical Science will immerse you in clinical biosciences and cutting-edge treatments, covering topics such as population health, precision medicine, and clinical studies. The curriculum also provides comprehensive training in anatomy, physiology, neuroscience, immunology, and regenerative medicine.
