The Graduate Certificate in University Learning and Teaching enhances professional growth for academics currently teaching in higher education. This program helps educators build essential, practical teaching skills while fostering adaptability, proficiency, and self-assurance in their specific educational contexts. It enables them to successfully fulfill their responsibilities as tertiary instructors. Experienced teaching professionals can also advance their expertise and earn formal accreditation through micro-credentials or postgraduate qualifications that may count toward a Master's degree. Using an approach centered on reflective practice, collaborative design, peer evaluation, and student partnerships, participants will gain applicable insights to improve their teaching methods. Each unit's micro-credential modules contribute to a digital teaching portfolio that progresses toward the full Graduate Certificate, with flexible recognition of prior learning (RPL) opportunities to honor educators' dedication to teaching excellence. The program also aligns with the Higher Education Academy (HEA) standards, offering a structured route to achieving Fellowship status.
