The Bachelor of Paramedicine prepares you for a career as a paramedic across Australia. Developed in collaboration with St John Ambulance Australia (NT) Inc., this program ensures clinical placements in the Northern Territory and provides practical training from experienced paramedic professionals.

Upon completion, you'll be equipped to work in emergency ambulance services and pre-hospital care across urban, regional, and remote locations.

Throughout this three-year degree, you'll develop essential skills in clinical decision-making, problem-solving, and critical analysis. The curriculum covers human anatomy, physiology, developmental studies, and Australia's healthcare frameworks. You'll acquire expertise in clinical sciences with a focus on trauma and emergency response scenarios.

Qualification Requirements

Admission requirements are met by one of the following:

  • Successful completion of the Northern Territory Certificate of Education and Training (or equivalent).
  • Successful completion of a national qualification at Certificate III level or higher.
  • Successful completion of at least 0.5 year of full-time study (or equivalent) of a higher education degree/diploma.
  • Overseas secondary or tertiary qualifications considered equivalent to the above Australian qualifications.

IELTS Academic Module: A minimum overall score of 7.0 with no score below a 6.5 in reading, writing, speaking and listening skills.

Pearson Test of English (PTE) Academic module: A minimum overall score of 65 with no score less than 58 in reading, writing, speaking and listening.

TOEFL Internet-based Test (iBT): A minimum overall score of 94 with no score less than 22 in reading, writing, speaking and listening.
