The Master of Laws (Research) is an advanced research degree requiring a 50,000-word thesis. This thesis showcases the candidate's research capabilities, analytical skills, and application of legal concepts to expand legal scholarship or practice. Tailored for law graduates, the LLM (Research) enables specialization in specific legal fields. Applicants must hold a Bachelor of Laws or Juris Doctor degree, utilizing the program's flexibility to conduct thorough investigations into chosen legal disciplines. Successful completion of a recognised Bachelor Degree or qualification equivalent to AQF Level 7.
English language proficiency requirements:
International English Language Testing System (IELTS): Academic Overall score 7.0 with no sub score less than 6.5
Test of English as a Foreign Language Internet-Based Test (TOEFL iBT): Overall score 94, no scores below 24 in Writing, and 20 in Speaking, Reading and Listening
Pearson Test of English (PTE) Academic: Academic Overall score 65 with no Communicative Scores below 58
