The Master of Criminology (Professional) program equips students with specialized skills and academic insights into crime, justice, and forensic matters. This curriculum offers comprehensive coverage of criminological theories, modern crime prevention approaches, punishment methodologies, offender psychology, and the operations of law enforcement, judicial systems, and correctional facilities - including contemporary challenges in crime and social deviance. Participants will acquire both theoretical knowledge and analytical research capabilities for examining criminological problems, along with the ability to assess academic literature critically. Upon completion, graduates will possess a professional portfolio showcasing their research and applied competencies in their selected career specialization. The program spans 4 semesters over 20 weeks (totaling 92 weeks).
Successful completion of a recognised Bachelor degree (or equivalent qualification) in either criminology, psychology, society and culture, or business and management.
English language proficiency requirements:
International English Language Testing System (IELTS): Academic Overall score 6.5 with no sub score less than 6.0
Test of English as a Foreign Language Internet-Based Test (TOEFL iBT): Overall score 79 (no scores below 21 in Writing, 18 in Speaking, and 16 in Reading and Listening)
Pearson Test of English (PTE) Academic: Overall score 58 with no Communicative Scores below 50
