The Master of Communication (Professional) program caters to international students seeking to build or advance their skills in the dynamic field of professional communication. The curriculum covers key areas including advertising, public relations, digital media, interpersonal communication theory, relationship dynamics, corporate communication strategies, leadership development, and research methodologies with data visualization. Participants will complete an independent research project and a culminating 20-week professional portfolio experience, choosing between: 1) a work placement involving real-world projects with accompanying documentation and portfolio presentation, or 2) a guided professional portfolio development project. This degree provides comprehensive training in both communication theory and practical applications, preparing graduates for diverse careers in advertising agencies, PR firms, digital media platforms, research institutions, leadership positions, and organizational communication roles across corporate, government, and non-profit sectors.
Successful completion of recognised Bachelor degree (or equivalent qualification) in either Communication, Society and Culture, Education, Business and Management.
English language proficiency requirements:
International English Language Testing System (IELTS): Academic Overall score 6.5 with no sub score less than 6.0
Test of English as a Foreign Language Internet-Based Test (TOEFL iBT): Overall score 79 (no scores below 21 in Writing, 18 in Speaking, and 16 in Reading and Listening)
Pearson Test of English (PTE) Academic: Overall score 58 with no Communicative Scores below 50
