The Master of Architecture (Professional) offers a customized architectural education within an innovative studio setting, emphasizing design through practical and digital fabrication using cutting-edge technology. Design studios centered on projects tackle real-life situations, with particular focus on urban development, the evolution of global cities, and architecture's role in responding to urban, environmental, social, and technological shifts. Graduates will exhibit expertise in architectural design skills that are inventive, evaluative, methodical, and spatial, grounded in advanced historical, theoretical, technical, and professional understanding. Every student completes a design thesis as the culminating achievement of the Master's program, showcasing autonomous, self-guided critical thought and refined design proficiency. Following the thesis, the program includes a 12-week professional portfolio component, allowing students to pursue either an internship (subject to eligibility) or a professional research project, ensuring graduates are exceptionally prepared for the workforce.
Successful completion of a recognised Bachelor Degree or qualification equivalent to AQF Level 7.
English language proficiency requirements:
International English Language Testing System (IELTS): Academic Overall score 6.5 with no sub score less than 6.0
Test of English as a Foreign Language Internet-Based Test (TOEFL iBT): Overall score 79 (no scores below 21 in Writing, 18 in Speaking, and 16 in Reading and Listening)
Pearson Test of English (PTE) Academic: Overall score 58 with no Communicative Scores below 50
