The Master of Regulation and Governance (MREGG) is a distinctive program designed to prepare students and their organizations for managing complex regulatory landscapes amid emerging risks and technological advancements. Graduates will enter or continue careers in governmental or private sector roles focused on developing regulatory policies to address critical societal challenges, frequently collaborating with various stakeholders. Foundational courses establish key principles, frameworks, and practical applications in regulation and governance. Specialized electives offer hands-on learning through case studies, simulations, and clinics covering areas like climate change, public safety, healthcare, Indigenous affairs, justice systems, urban planning, and technology. The interactive curriculum explores the origins, creators, and objectives of regulatory systems, prioritizing disaster preparedness, risk mitigation, and fair societal impacts. The program builds upon ANU RegNet's internationally recognized research and innovative approaches to governance. MREGG students engage in RegNet's interdisciplinary learning environment, which focuses on Asia-Pacific perspectives, dynamic coursework, expert-led masterclasses, international connections, and diverse professional opportunities.
