Demography is a comprehensive field within social sciences focused on examining human populations. Experts in this field gather, organize, and interpret data about fundamental life events and human experiences. The discipline prioritizes both theoretical and practical research into population dynamics, along with their causes and effects. Professionals often incorporate insights from neighboring fields like sociology, economics, political science, anthropology, psychology, public health, and ecology to enrich their studies. Learners might also investigate biological and biosocial factors influencing birth and death rates, including topics like reproductive health and disease patterns. Additionally, Demography addresses wider issues of societal and economic transformation, as well as how population shifts affect our natural world.
