The Master of Museum and Heritage Studies (Advanced) leverages our strong ties with Canberra's premier cultural institutions to equip you for a dynamic career in this sector. Through our extensive local and national networks, you'll gain direct access to senior professionals during classes and benefit from hands-on experience via our internship opportunities.
Our faculty comprises globally recognized researchers, and the program provides specialized tracks in either museum or heritage studies. The museum specialization covers both traditional curation techniques and emerging areas like social inclusion, community participation, activist museum practices, Indigenous collections, and cutting-edge visitor research. Meanwhile, the cultural and environmental heritage track enables critical examination of national and international policies through a framework that explores heritage's societal impacts and conservation challenges.
