The Master of Museum and Heritage Studies leverages our robust partnerships with Canberra's premier cultural institutions to equip you for a dynamic career in this sector. Our extensive local and national networks provide opportunities to learn directly from top institutional leaders during classes, while hands-on experience is gained through our internship initiatives.

Our faculty includes globally recognized researchers, and the program offers specialized tracks in either museum or heritage studies. The museum specialization covers both conventional curation and collection management alongside contemporary topics like social inclusion, community participation, activist museum practices, Indigenous collections, and cutting-edge visitor research. Meanwhile, the cultural heritage management specialization enables critical examination of global policies and practices through a framework that explores heritage's socio-political dimensions and conservation challenges.
