This two-year master's program equips students with expert-level knowledge and professional engineering competencies for careers in the expanding energy sector. Building upon ANU's interdisciplinary engineering approach and research strengths, the curriculum prepares graduates to tackle intricate industry and research challenges while delivering specialized expertise in energy systems. The mandatory core curriculum covers advanced engineering professional development and explores both renewable and conventional energy resources, along with their integration into contemporary energy networks. Students must complete a minimum of two courses focusing on solar and wind energy generation technologies. Additional engineering electives allow for deeper exploration of energy technologies and system applications. The program also offers the flexibility to choose electives from other university disciplines, including relevant courses in energy policy, legislation, and economic principles.
