The Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) program leverages the guidance of globally renowned researchers from the Research School of Management. Various ANU scholarships are offered. Full-time PhD candidates usually complete the program in three to five years, with part-time study available over an extended duration. The curriculum includes two segments: coursework (Part A) and research (Part B). During coursework, students master fundamental theories and methodologies while focusing on specialized areas. The research phase involves producing an original thesis under expert supervision, making a substantial academic contribution to RSM and ANU's related fields. Thesis-derived articles should be suitable for top-tier journal publication. The standard thesis length ranges from 200-250 pages, with a 400-page (or 100,000-word) limit in rare cases. Three internationally recognized external examiners evaluate the final thesis.
