The Population Health Honours program is designed for students with a comprehensive background in population health-related disciplines who wish to pursue independent research. Typically completed full-time over two consecutive semesters, this program combines research training, advanced study of key concepts, and a significant research project resulting in a thesis. Honours provides essential research skills that serve as a springboard for various careers or advanced study like a PhD.
Learning Outcomes
Design and conduct an independent, sustained research project to contribute new knowledge in population health.
Critically assess relevant population health theories and concepts, connecting them to appropriate methodologies and evidence to form valid conclusions.
Evaluate and interpret original population health data using statistical or other analytical methods as needed.
