The Psychology Honours program is designed for students who have completed an APAC-accredited undergraduate psychology sequence and wish to pursue independent psychological research. Typically completed full-time over two semesters, this specialization offers research training, advanced exploration of contemporary psychological concepts, and a significant research project leading to a thesis. Honours provides essential research skills that serve as a springboard for diverse career paths, including clinical psychology.
Learning Outcomes
Design and conduct sustained, independent research on a selected topic to contribute new knowledge to psychology.
Critically assess relevant psychological theories, concepts, and practices, connecting them to appropriate research methods and evidence to form valid conclusions.
Evaluate and interpret original psychological research data using suitable statistical or analytical methods when applicable.
