The French Language and Culture program is designed to enhance students' proficiency in comprehending, articulating, and conversing in standard French, while also building skills in reading and writing French as used across various media, films, and literary works. Each course highlights the significance of cultural, historical, political, and social aspects, incorporating diverse resources from written, audiovisual, and digital platforms. Participants achieve fluency in French while expanding their awareness of Francophone communities worldwide, spanning Europe and other regions like Africa, Asia, North America, and the Pacific. Placement in the program is determined by students' existing French proficiency, with course sequences tailored to their starting level.
