The Biological Anthropology Honours Specialisation provides advanced preparation for professional careers or research degrees by cultivating deep expertise in research principles, methodologies, and theoretical frameworks within biological anthropology. This is achieved through designing and executing a research project, usually a thesis of up to 20,000 words, that generates novel insights or addresses complex challenges. Learning Outcomes formulate a substantial research question in biological anthropology; explore this question through creative, critical, ethical, and independent investigation, employing advanced theory and methodology relevant to the field while situating the work within its academic tradition; and effectively communicate the research process and findings using suitable mediums.

An AQF Level 7 Bachelor of Environmental Studies Degree or equivalent completed within the last two years.with a weighted average mark equivalent to an ANU 70 per cent calculated from the 36 units ie 0.75 EFTSL of courses in the discipline cognate to the honours specialisation excluding 1000-level courses ie introductory undergraduate courses with the highest marks.And the satisfaction of any admission requirements described in the relevant honours specialization.
