The ANU's English program provides an extensive selection of courses that showcase the varied nature of English literary studies. Students can explore all key areas of British literature from the late 1500s to modern times, covering eras like Early Modern, Restoration, 18th-Century, Romantic, Victorian, and Contemporary periods. The curriculum includes studies in Australian, American, postcolonial, and global English literatures, along with literary theory, cultural studies, drama, film, digital media, and creative writing.
