Expanding upon the Bachelor of Archaeological Practice foundation, this honors degree provides advanced training for professional careers or postgraduate research by deepening your understanding of archaeological methodologies, research principles, and theoretical frameworks. The curriculum includes designing and executing a substantial research project, usually culminating in a 20,000-word thesis that contributes novel insights or addresses complex challenges in the field.
Program Objectives
formulate a meaningful research question in Archaeological Practice;
conduct innovative, rigorous, ethical, and self-directed investigations using appropriate theoretical and methodological approaches within the discipline, while situating the research within its academic heritage; and
effectively present research processes and outcomes through suitable formats.
