Outstanding accounting students with top academic results may qualify for the Honours program.

This advanced course builds upon undergraduate knowledge in financial accounting, managerial accounting, auditing, and tax studies. Participants complete rigorous coursework and a research project, with instruction delivered through seminar-style classes. The program facilitates interaction with research-focused faculty, in-depth examination of complex accounting topics, and enhancement of analytical abilities.

Prospective Honours candidates should seek guidance from the Accounting Research School's Honours Convenor. The program also accepts applications from external university students.

Qualification Requirements

An AQF Level 7 Bachelor Degree or international equivalent completed within the last two years

that satisfies the requirements for the completion of an ANU accounting major or equivalent university study and
with a weighted average mark equivalent to an ANU 70 per cent calculated from the 36 units ie 0.75 EFTSL of courses with the highest final marks excluding 1000level courses i.e introductory undergraduate courses from courses eligible for inclusion in an ANU accounting major or equivalent and
confirmation of an Honours Supervisor and
interview with the Honours Convener
