The Bachelor of Game Design is ideal for aspiring students looking to master the tools, cultural frameworks, and core design principles needed to excel as innovative game designers. Engage in hands-on experimentation and explore game creation as an artistic discipline, delving into play theory while honing your analytical skills regarding ethical and cultural discussions in gaming. Throughout your studies, you'll test your abilities through playtesting sessions, consolidate your knowledge by creating a final game design project, and either build a professional portfolio or undertake a 60-hour industry internship.
This undergraduate program offers flexible completion options, with an accelerated path spanning six trimesters (2 years) or a standard nine-trimester (3-year) timeline for full-time students.
Applicants must be at least 18-years-old at course commencement
Successful completion of a senior secondary school certificate equivalent to Australian Year 12
ENGLISH LANGUAGE REQUIREMENTS
Our English requirement is an overall IELTS score of 6.0 (with no single band score below 6.0) for all the courses, except Entertainment Journalism and Creative Writing, where students are required to have an overall IELTS score of 6.5 (with no single band score below 6.0)
Applicants may also provide the following as evidence of their English proficiency:
Results of English subjects in a range of countries’ secondary school certificate, A Level or the International Baccalaureate.
Successful completion of an English course at any of our pathway providers.
